Pacman Invades Bournemouth
March 17th, 2007Pacman runs a mock in Bournemouth town center, it all went really well and i cant wait to start the editing process. Everyone in town had a real positive attitude to what we were doing, all in all a great day. Even though Jason and Josh almost died of heat exhaustion it was so much fun.
Jason = Pacman
Josh = Inky the Ghost
It’s Alive
March 13th, 2007Building Pacman
March 7th, 2007
Today I meet Tom, Jafro & Josh at the Castle Point B&Q to get the materials to actually build Pac-man and the Ghosts. We got rigid plastic pipes, plus ones that bend and lots of gaffa tape, then we walked all the way to toms place in Winton and got lots of funny looks on the way. Then it was time for a beer, afterwards we cracked on. Jafro had two saws so we could cut the pipes but after about 20 minutes the junior hacksaw was so blunt you can’t even cut your hand on it. It took all day to build Pac-man and one Ghost so Friday is to get the second Ghost done and get the fabric to go over the frames.
Wallace & Gromit
March 2nd, 2007I was watching my W&G Curse of the Were-Rabbit dvd the other night and it is amazing how well they do it. I mean of course stock frame animation but as well in this film they have used cgi from Dreamworks. In one of the scenes where wallace falls of the top the building as the were-rabbit and then transforms back to his old self. His normal ears have been done with cgi because they were originally the rabbit ears, there is more details on this on the dvd extras.
After watching this I wanted to see the other W&G short films and the one above is a classic with the train scene. Click on the image above for a video preview.
