\nAfter the Specialist Project the next big project is the Extended Major Project and ties together all the existing work I have done over the course. I intend to delve and explore a couple of my interest\u2019s in this project. I will look into maps as I have found that they have such a large influence in our world. I will also look at the world wide web and maps together.<\/p>\n

My question is what has not been done with maps and how can I expand them.<\/p>\n

This project sorts of continues on from the Specialist Project as I was looking into ways of directing you. One of the things I will not be continuing on from the Specialist Project is the augmented idea I came up with. I want to go back to good old maps.<\/p>\n

This learning agreement took a long time for me to write as it took a while for me to formulate a solid idea. I skipped over what the problem was and started to look at technologies in how I could make something again. However I eventually formulated an idea from this:<\/p>\n

The problem I came to was similar to that of my Specialist Project in that maps don\u2019t really work with real time, and also videos. You may say Google tackles this problem but you only get still images and images only show you so much. I tried to tackle this problem with augmented reality in my Specialist Project but that turned out to be a gimmick. So the solution I have come up with in my Extended Major Project is what I like to call Video Maps.<\/p>\n

Video Maps is so my starting point, I want to develop a website to display my video maps, I will also start drawing my own style maps to compliment the video maps I produce. I may also integrate Harry Becks tube map style into my designs as I find I could just stare at these maps for ages.<\/p>\n

I will produce videos showing the layout and the in\u2019s and out\u2019s of railway stations as Google does not really cover them that well. I will also put other places of interest that Google has not touched in the local area.<\/p>\n
