Freeview Retune !

September 23rd, 2009

Everyone will need to re-tune their Freeview, Topup TV and BT Vision set top boxes as of 30 September 2009 or you will risk loosing all television channels. The shake up is to move around the current tv channels to make space for the new HD tv channels available for the launch of Freeview HD in the coming months to years, depending on where you live in the country, the digital switch over is what will determine if you get Freeview HD early or later basically. The shake up will also mean that more channels can be added to Freeview in the future.

So don’t forget to re-tune on 30 September 2009 after midday.

The Page for Placement

Placement Friday 25

May 25th, 2007

Today was my last day and I had to show Jan my final design of the Lymington map I had come up with, he liked it a lot. I said good bye to everyone and thanked them all for the experience.

Placement Wednesday 23

May 23rd, 2007

I took the aerial shots and decided to make an interactive map designed and built with Adobe Macromedia Flash with drag-able content so that it could be a set size.

Placement Tuesday 22

May 22nd, 2007

I had an idea to use google earth aerial shots into my design. So I cut out and pasted into my Illustrator document and tried it that way. That didn’t work in Illustrator but gave me an idea of how it could work.

Placement Monday 21

May 21st, 2007

I showed Jan what I had so far, I then started to draw the shops on as squares. But it didn’t look right and I had not left enough space for the market stalls. Time for plan B.

Placement Friday 18

May 18th, 2007

I was asked to design and build a map of Lymington high street with the positions of the shops and market stalls to go onto the Lymington dot com website. The first thing I did was to use Adobe Illustrator to draw out the high street with all the different roads coming of it.

Placement Wednesday 16

May 16th, 2007

I came up with a design and showed Jan my ideas for the Buzios website and CMS’s.

Placement Tuesday 15

May 15th, 2007

I started searching on google for open source content management system’s (CMS’s) for each section of the site I was working on yesterday, as these are normally free.

Placement Monday 14

May 14th, 2007

I was asked to design a new website that would be called Buzios, this site would be a combination of different content management system’s (CMS’s), and there had to be a calendar, photo upload and to view plus an area to post news. This website was for a sailing boat called Buzios that Jan’s friends and family could use and leave information about their time on the boat and when they use it. The first thing I did was to start looking for the right type of font to go into the design and images to use.
