IT just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Bournemouth Air Festival fans can once again expect to see the stars of the show flying between the piers – the Red Arrows.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will take to the skies thanks to the support of companies from construction group Morgan Sindall.

The Diamond Nine, who have been thrilling audiences for more than 45 years, will take to the skies three times during the fourth air festival, displaying on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Red One for the second year is Squadron Leader Ben Murphy, who said Bournemouth was “one of our favourite venues”.

This time around the crowd favourites will be unveiling new manoeuvres alongside their already well-known daring moves at the festival, which runs between August 18-21.

Jon Weaver, air festival director, said: “To be welcoming the Red Arrows back to Bournemouth this year is great news. They’re the display that everyone wants to see and we have a great crowd here that never fails to get behind them.

“Having them perform on three days is tremendous, so a special thank you to Morgan Sindall companies, who are the appearance sponsors for all three Red Arrow displays.”

Ernie Battey, MD of Morgan Sindall Investment Limited, said: “We’re delighted to be involved with this year’s air festival and to be supporting the Red Arrows’ display.

“As the council’s chosen partner in the Bournemouth Development Company, we are committed to projects which improve the town and bring an economic boost to traders – the air festival is a fantastic legacy and one we are proud to be part of.”
