The Red Arrows

The Bournemouth Air Festival kicked of on Thursday 28th August 2008 with some brilliant air displays, but what most people go to the festival for is the Red Arrows. This year the arrows are there for 3 days 29th Friday 3pm, 30th Saturday 12noon and 31st Sunday 3pm, the whole festival is 4 days long.

New Music Channel

4Music launches on Freeview channel 18 on Friday 15 August replacing The Hits

Continuing Channel4’s already legendary music output, 4Music will launch with exclusive live coverage of the V Festival on August 16 and 17, with headline sets from The Verve and Muse.

This will be followed by Bestival, featuring Amy Winehouse headlining a festival for the very first time. You’ll also get to see Orange RockCorps powered by Sony Ericsson, the unique music-led volunteering programme that climaxes with a star-studded concert at The Royal Albert Hall.

In September, 4Music will once again be teaming up with Vodafone Live Music Awards for a night to remember to celebrate live music in a star studded ceremony.

That’s not all. Your favourite C4 music shows will all be on the new 4Music channel too, including the critically acclaimed Live from Abbey Road and 4Music Presents. And look out for T-Mobile Transmission and Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson.

4Music will also show concerts from the world’s biggest bands and performers, and will feature well known music talent in programmes such as The Sunday Night Project, and hilarious spoofs from Star Stories. With video exclusives and many familiar faces from the T4 and 4Music family such as Alexa Chung, Nick Grimshaw, Miquita Oliver and Steve Jones, 4Music will quickly become your favourite new channel.
