Saw the Ferrari F1 car this weekend in London on the Saturday before the London marathon which my friend was running. Here are some photos, as well there are some photos on the river when I walked back to where I was staying over the weekend, it was just getting dark and I thought it looked a nice scene/nice colours.
This video is about how easy it is to just build your own mobile application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This got me thinking about what I want to get into the 3rd year of my course. Initially I thought this would be a great device to develop for, however I quickly found out that there is a lot of coding involved and was difficult to get my hands on the iPhone software developers kit, SDK for short. This is the software you use to build and develop your iPhone and iPod Touch applications.

Today is too short notice I’m afraid – gaps in my diary don’t exist for long during the average school day.
Tomorrow I could see you between 9.30 – 11.00 (I’m teaching at 11), or after school at 5.30/6.00 either at Winterborne Whitechurch or Winterborne Stickland base.
Friday I could see you at the end of the day, 4.00 at Winterborne Kingston.

Adobe has secured a deal to put its Flash software into many of the chips that go inside TVs and set-top boxes.
It will enable developers and content providers to create applications to deliver web-based content such as news, weather, share prices and more to TV screens. The first applications using Flash are expected to hit TV sets early in 2010.

4oD Catch-Up is now available on a Mac thanks to the Adobe Flash Player, this also means it will work on Linux as well. 4oD Catch-Up now works the same as the BBC iPlayer pritty much apart from the odd advert and the option to set a pin code for adult content if you have kids. Channel 4 just need to get there ass into gear and bring out a download version of 4oD for the Mac, the BBC have a download version of the iPlayer for the Mac which came out a few months ago, under the iPlayer Labs section of the website. The iPlayer download service for the mac runs with the Adobe Air and Flash Player, so if Channel 4 are now using Flash for the online Catch-Up service, I would hope that maybe they are going to use the same tecnology the BBC has used for there download service.

The website needs some pretty radical surgery I think! I’ve been working on a totally new website during the start of the Easter holiday, and so have lots of ideas which I would be more than happy to discuss. Thank you for offering to come to school to meet me, which may be easiest to fit in with my diary, but …. if you do not live locally to Blandford then I am more than happy to try and arrange something else, e.g. a MacDonalds with our laptops! When is it easiest for you? Give me some times and then we can work out where.
